Description:
Built in the 1830's, this riverfront cathedral, located near the Gateway Arch, remains an active Catholic parish. Built in the Greek Revival style popular during the early 19th century, this church stands as a symbol of the early history of the city. The Old Cathedral Museum on the west side of the building houses 18th century artifacts and relics. A plaque commemorates the founding of the first St. Vincent de Paul Society of America in this cathedral in 1845.

Located in the foothills of the Ozarks, this multi-colored work of ecclesiastical art was built in honor of Poland's Black Madonna, Our Lady of Czestochowa, and Queen of Peace and Mercy. It is made from Missouri tiff rock, seashells, rocks, and costume jewelry. This tranquil site is operated by the Franciscan missionary brothers as a "a place of peace, solitude and prayer." Meditate in the chapel, itself a marvelous work of art, or relax with a quiet picnic lunch in the pavilion.

Founded in 1958 by a Catholic priest from the order of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, this is the largest outdoor shrine in North America. The 200 beautifully landscaped acres are filled with soaring trees and flowering gardens.
